AAAAA! Skating!
good day today… after only 5 hours of sleep, i woke up on a Saturday morning and went to visit the Swiss History Museum. don’t think i have anything special to say about it…

but in the afternoon i went skaaaatiiiiing! well, i went to try skating… and i’m so grateful that i was not alone. alone it would’ve been a lost try.
10 years ago i tried skating for the first time - new year’s eve in the USA. together with some friends we spent new year’s eve in a cultural&sports center that had an ice rink. i thought - oh maybe, everybody seems so relaxed…why not me? ooook… falling down every time i tried to slide… screaming everytime i fell down. it hurt. anyway i was amused by the fact that many people were gathering around me after my fall&scream :))
conclusion - seems it is not for me, thus leave it.
but recently i made up my mind and decided that i wanna try (again) this and that and the other. there is still skiing - this never tried. then spring comes - and biking - this tried once :))
today in the afternoon/evening a friend and i went to the Dolder (here more pictures) ice rink - “which opened in 1930, was – and still is – the largest of its kind in Europe. In 1954, it hosted the ice hockey World Championships.” (source)
and miracle!… after around half an hour i was able to more or less skate… ok ok, still holding hands… kind of a disaster if on my own :)) but now i think that i am able to get there :)) i am so happy and grateful that someone took the time to explain, help, hold and catch me when i fall :)
was a great one hour and a half!
