this Martisor (more info here) I got yesterday, from a friend, and it’s beautiful… and the additional decoration is perfect!
yesterday, the 1st of March, marked the beginning of spring on this side of the world, well, at least for sure in Moldova and Romania. on top of that we have a special holiday/celebration - Martisor (Mărțișor) - more info on wiki.
The most significant part of this tradition, that well survived to these days, is that people give to each other small decorations/symbols (which are also called Martisor) like the ones in the picture. In fact, they usually have some other stuff tied or glued to them, but i like the simple version.
And the clip!!! I randomly found it on my desk and thought - it could work as a contemporary Martisor :))
and, no, I haven’t received so many Martisori (in fact none so far this year)… my parents did and I take from them the ones I like :)))
