watched this film/animation yesterday.

Told in three interconnected segments, we follow a young man named Takaki through his life as cruel winters, cold technology, and finally, adult obligations and responsibility converge to test the delicate petals of love. (imdb)

like it a lot (not that much the voice of the end song)… beautiful animation/drawings, full of feelings. characters i can relate to :) i recommend.

and another crazy long, but very good anime series that came right after Candy Candy was Sailor Moon :D and this Mamoru was like the dream guy… i don’t remember discussing it with anybody at that time. but when i grew older i discovered that many girls dreamt of Mamoru :))

and a p.s.: we were watching these series in original language with Romanian subtitles.

“Separation on a snowy day”, Candy Candy Episode 99

one of the strongest (positively) memories from my childhood is Candy Candy, the anime series :) i think i watched it when i was around 9 years old… it was the first non-soviet animation for me, shown on the national Romanian TV channel, that we (in Moldova) started to receive after the collapse of soviet union.

after the ending of the series, for a long time i had the image of Candy in my mind… and also the non-satisfaction with kind of the main conclusion of the series. Candy and Terry (they loved each other) separated for some not fair reason…

then i forgot about it… but, at some point, when Internet appeared, it came to me… what was the name of that series with an orphan blonde girl? i forgot the name, but still had the image and the bitter taste of that separation. then i found all the info, sometimes rewatching some episodes on youtube.

now found this comment under a video (this last episode)… i’m not alone :))

Brings back memories. I have seen this when i was five years old. But i must tell you, that altough i am nearly 25 now, i still hate the end. Candy loves Terry, Terry loves Candy, they matched good together, bot no, they must abandon theirs feelings, because some person will be unhappy. That´s not right:(((
