East Side Gallery, Berlin

again some copy paste from wikipedia: The East Side Gallery is an international memorial for freedom. It is a 1.3 km long section of the Berlin Wall located near the centre of Berlin on Mühlenstraße in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. The Gallery consists of 105 paintings by artists from all over the world, painted in 1990 on the east side of the Berlin Wall. The East Side Gallery was founded following the successful merger of the two German artists’ associations VBK and BBK. wiki
I got to this sight at the sunset (and there weren’t only clouds in the sky)…thus it was warner and the natural colours were nicer on the West side :)

to the right there is a river… and further down on this side, just near the wall, there is a beach terrace

and already at the end of the wall, there is a stop for boat trips, a floating hostel, and a small beach…and a bridge.

at some point, across the street from the Gallery, there is the O2 arena, recently built. As I understood, people living in the neighbourhood were not happy about it…

but of course most of the time I walked along the Gallery, taking pictures of some paintings…

and looking back
