noticed this dress on a very beautiful Facebook page La Blouse Roumaine
and it came to me that there was a time when i was imagining that one day i will wear a wedding dress (although without a proper wedding)…and the dress in my head looked more or less like this one :)
Polyball 2011

last year at the Polyball in Zurich.
Polyball is an event/ball organized in Zurich, everyone is welcome (well, if a ticket is bought). and some info from the de.wiki - the exact date of the first Polyball is unknown. It is believed that it has been held since the 1880s. Until 1927, the ball was known under the title Academy and had a charitable cause. Since the 1950s, every edition has a motto and the rooms are decorated accordingly. For example, last year it was - In search of El D
orado. And it is welcomed if people dress to fit the theme. I thought my rust colour dress would do :))
Over time, the ball has often changed its location, from Zurich Tonhalle to the Dolder Grand Hotel, Zurich’s Fairgrounds and the main building of ETH (Technical University). The latter is the venue for over 30 years and will probably remain so in the future.
I went there with a group of girl friends. And it was nice to check it out… but anyway it is mosly meant for couples/pairs - couple dance.
There were many concerts taking place at the same time… from classical to jazz to swing to latin to electronic etc. checked them all and at some point got stuck in the electronic room.

been to the wedding of a cousin

and since yesterday was saint valentine’s day, today i wore a pink dress… no, there is no rationality here… writing this, i realized i wore pink for new year’s eve :)) being an adolescent i hated this colour (too girlish etc and i felt a rebel :)) ), now i love it :))
p.s.: and my wonderful slippers :)

very comfortable dress :) and really like the fabric. got it online, from Asos. and there is a small pocket behind the zipper :)
the necklace - bought it from an old lady in Bologna :)

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
― Audrey Hepburn
my totally spontaneous purchase of a childish pick dress and then idea to wear it for New Year’s Eve was a good one. I felt very comfortable, physically and psychologically :))
I remember long time ago, in kindergarten, we had to put some kind of theatre play for our parents and guests, at NY celebration. I was assigned the bad witch role. I was very affected :) why me the bad and… ugly… while others are the good and nice wearing white and pink. My mother went to talk with my educator… and the educator said - the bad witch role is the most complicated and we think only Arina will do well. I liked the explanation… but nonetheless I stayed with the wish to play the princess someday…and now, more than 20 years past, I pretended in my mind that the ”revenge” has come :)
p.s.: it’s a brighter pink
my flower pixelated dress
