yesterday i’ve visited the Museum of Design in Zurich. now it is hosting an exhibition on plastic garbage - “Out to Sea? The Plastic Garbage Project”. it is a pretty informative (with lots of text) exhibition…i’ll post later more pictures of it. above is the Plastic flotsam installation - a large amount of original plastic flotsam. This plastic garbage was collected during beach cleanup campaigns on Kahoolawe, an uninhabited Hawaiian island, on Sylt in the North Sea and Fehmarn in the Baltic. there is some garbage there…but also there is a mirror creating an amplifying effect :) when i got there and took the pictures, haven’t realized it (not always wearing my glasses), but then walking through the hall already noticed the trick :) the exhibition is open until the 28th of October and it’s free admission. more photos with valuable info HERE
