Romania has many many beautiful places…. this place is called Plaiul Foii, not far from the town of Brasov. I have an entire album here with cats and dogs and horses and nature’s beauties.
summer. perennial snow in Switzerland. from this trip
Switzerland. from the train…as I was leaving Switzerland, going to Italy, then home.
today, together with 8 other people, been on a day trip by car through the Swiss Mountains…
here is the aprox. route
a very scenic trip…from fresh green, to snow of 3 or more meters thickness, lakes of various colours and all other natural wonders… and of course mountain roads, making me feel a bit sick sometimes… but the beautiful scenery and the good people made the sickness go away :)
this route seems very very popular among bikers…so many of them, cool motorcycles and the bikers dressed properly… movies style :))
then many convertibles…some of them really vintage beautiful wow :)
also had a good lunch in a mountain restaurant all rustic style.
have tons of pictures (from this trip and other ones)…still need to go through them and really wish to share them soon.
this afternoon&evening was spent in very good company… we also had this view from the balcony.
great dinner prepared by the men…then 3 cakes, 2 of them also made by the men.
this weekend was a great one… as part of a group of almost 30 people.
been in the South of Switzerland, the Italian part, called Ticino (or Tessin in German). We were in (and around) the largest town there - Lugano and Lake Lugano. The lake is very ununiform and there are big hills (or small mountains) all around it, as seen in the pictures :) the view is from mountain San Salvatore.

Castelgrande in Bellinzona …at the moment, the castle is kind of lost, because of the hill/mountain background, later on, during the summer, the trees will turn green and there will be more contrast.
the castle has a very nice lawn… all surrounded by mevieval walls, but with mountains sticking out. lots of people were coming up for a snack picnic and lying in the sun.

another thing one can do in Sattel is hiking (here is the tag for other Sattel posts)
i would not really call it hinking… it is more walking, a pleasant walk, without up the hill and down the hill, it is basically going around a mountain peak. we had a beautiful sunny afternoon with lots of untouched snow. normally the hike should take 1,5 hours. it took us longer, cause we played a bit in the snow, wrote and drew on it, read what others wrote and drew, like “blonde, single, 40 years old, phone number….”, played with cats, admired some other animals…and of course enjoyed the views.

that time in the Appenzell Alps, we were down in the fog and cold… then went up in the sun…then again returned in the fog. natue is amazing.
