Istanbul Sirkeci Terminal
International, domestic and regional trains running westwards depart from this station which was inaugurated as the terminus of the Orient Express. (wiki)
Switzerland. from the train…as I was leaving Switzerland, going to Italy, then home.
Switzerland from the train, on the way to Murten
Switzerland from the train… somewhere near Lausanne
that is a lake after the green… would love to walk around here. should do it somehow.
looking back from the Bernina Express train
first photo - inside the panoramic waggon of Bernina Extress train, of course, observe the shape of the windows…. but here is a trick - the train has several normal waggons that also connect Chur and Tirano. Chur (in Switzerland) is the most northern point of the journey and Tirano (in Italy) in the most southern point. The normal waggons are cheaper and do not have the panoramic windows… BUT, the windows in the normal waggons can be opend and you can stick your head out, see and take pictures of the other waggons (like here), take pictures of the scenery without having a window reflection, take pictures of yourself with your hair in the air :)))
today my brother and I took the Bernina Express train… which crosses the Swiss Alps. During this time of the year, it feels pretty cool going from green grass, very warm temperature… to snow and yet frozen lakes. the train goes up to 2200 and something meters… now i still feel dizzy after the journey and need some rest, but i will definetely come back to this attraction :)
Living in small-town Spain has its perks, but every now and then the city beckons. We recently had the opportunity...
